Living in Place with Grace and Style
Another repeat client! 25 years ago we converted their garage into a family room and created a new kitchen. Returning to us in 2022, the homeowners were looking to turn an existing first-floor half bath into a handicapped-accessible full bathroom. This required a small addition off the dining room, and moving a basement bulkhead. To make the most of the space, and for wheelchair accessibility, we installed a wall-hung sink and toilet, grab bars, and created a curbless shower also equipped with a series of grab bars. A handheld and wall-mounted shower head makes this space usable for seated or standing users. Bench seating under a hotel rack for towels is the perfect spot to dry off. Heated flooring was installed throughout the space for comfort. A shower curtain allows for ease of use and softens the large amount of tile, adding color and personality.
