Softly Serene Kitchen

These homeowners were a referral by a former client whose kitchen we renovated several years ago and was featured in the Hartford Courant.  This was our second project in this home. When originally contacted, we had discussed utilizing space from the adjoining porch to expand the kitchen but opted instead to update the porch, making it more heat efficient, and work within the footprint of the existing kitchen. Our client desired more counter space, storage, wood cabinetry, and classic Shaker styling. To accommodate their requests we installed stained, Maple cabinets, lots of storage, and for a soft feel, chose a large format backsplash tile with willow print in varying shades of gray set against white quartz counters. Even the family dog got into the action.
