About Be Thoughtful:

The Be Thoughtful Movement was founded by Susan Johnson and her husband Stephen Tarca as a way to raise funds to create local employment opportunities for those with I/DD like her son Harold who lives with cerebral palsy. The Be Thoughtful Movement helped kick start The Thoughtful Travelers, LLC, a travel agency co-founded by Harold who has a passion for travel. The Thoughtful Travelers is focused on helping others with disabilities travel and embrace life more abundantly.

The Be Thoughtful Movement is currently working to raise the necessary funding to help the startup of BeanZ & Co. an inclusive coffee cafe to be located in Avon, CT. BeanZ & Co. will be run by Kim Morrison, owner and founder of New England Pasta Company, and Noelle Alix of Simsbury, both mothers of daughters with Down syndrome. BeanZ & Co. will be dedicated to the mission of employing people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
