OO-La-La; a master bath with glam appeal

Problem: The original master bath of this contemporary home, was in good shape but lacked the vivaciousness our clients desired. With plain white cabinetry, white countertop and large tiled tub surround, the whole room felt monochromatic and, well, rather blah.

Solution: We redesigned the bath with a modern vanity that features a sultry dark stain on slab doors and drawers with a horizontal textured grain, fitted with polished chrome hardware-what I like to call "the jewelry". Incorporating a seated make-up area with a custom mirror adds to this now indulgent space. Marble and glass tile at the backsplash add to the open and airy feel.

The free standing, shapely tub and sexy modern bath filler evoke a sense of glamour reminiscent of a by-gone era of luxury. The separate shower sports sleek fixtures and horizontal tile that provides a counterpoint to the verticality of the soaring space. To complete the minimal feel, single faucet handles maintain the uncluttered look accenting the his and hers sinks.
