How to be a Good Client in 6 Easy Steps
Try not to waffle. We understand that there are many decisions to be made and it’s our job to help guide you. Your job is to remain informed, trust in your choices and to stick with them.
Trust. Unless your neighbor, friend, mother in law, or other has direct industry experience or is a certified kitchen and bath designer we’re not too concerned with their opinions, and you shouldn't be either. Combined, KBDC's design and production staff has over 50 years of experience and keeps abreast of the latest trends and processes. Know that you're in good hands.
Be Realistic. As much as it’s a nice fantasy to think that you are our only client, the reality is that your design team is working with more than one. Our production team is also balancing more than one project at a time. Be patient and realistic-good work takes time.
Keep Interactions Positive. We make sure to keep the lines of communication open and realize that there will be times when you will wish to bring things to our attention, or to the attention of the production team. Please, balance criticism with praise.
We're Only Human. Remember this is a business of human beings-assume we’re committed to doing it right and on time, but sometimes remodeling is like herding cats.
Relax. We understand that a kitchen or bathroom remodel is a disruption to your regular routine, but it is not brain surgery. Keep the beautiful end result in mind, and know that you will survive the stress, living happily ever after in a brand new space.
