Family-Centered Kitchen
This young family needed space to spread out and stay organized. They approached us for this substantial remodel which included removing walls and expanding existing doorways. A traditional West Hartford Colonial style home, the original kitchen felt closed off from the rest of the house and was in desperate need of an update, along with structural changes. For family-style eating, we created a huge work-horse island with two sinks, dishwasher, and a beverage frig. The perimeter cabinets were kept white for a young, up-to-date vibe. We also created a small "mudroom" area tucked behind a
much-needed message center with additional storage as one enters the space from the exterior doorway or garage.
