Double Island Kitchen

The homeowners were looking for an open-concept, multi-use kitchen that would combine an industrial look with rustic touches to blend with existing features in their home.  The original space was boxy with the kitchen, dining, and family rooms cut off from one another.  By opening these areas, we created a bright open kitchen with two islands; one for food prep and meals, the other for creative projects.  The family room with its stone fireplace is now a part of the space creating a cozy spot to sit and enjoy the fire while interacting with the cook.
